A Korean brand was #1 on Rakuten's beauty chart on October 7
On October 7, the #1 listing on Rakuten Ichiba's beauty ranking was Korean — a d'Alba spray-serum set. Over the eight days we read, Korean brands came and went from Japan's top 10, with Anua and medicube settling in toward the end of the week.
We read Rakuten Ichiba's beauty ranking every day. It's a fast-moving list, so we look at a week of single days rather than any one of them.
The week, day by day
Fact. Attenir's cleansing oil was #1 on five of the eight days. On October 7 the #1 was d'Alba, a Korean brand. On October 4, six Korean brands were in the top 10, led by SKIN1004 at #2; on October 6 there were none. Anua was in the top 10 on October 8 through 11, and medicube on October 9 through 11. Observation. Korean brands reach the very top of one of Japan's largest online malls, but not every day — the list swings widely from one day to the next.
How to read this
Ranks are per shop listing, not brand market share, and each is a single day. Korean = brands in our Korean-brand ledger; we show names, not counts, while our matching of Japanese listings is still being checked. Product names aren't shown on the chart because Rakuten titles carry coupon and price text.
